I'm on my way driving with my bf's family to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. One of their fav places to eat on the planet. I hate this place!! They love it so I'm trying to smile and keep the piece since I'm the only one who would rather starve. Of course I checked nutrition facts before I left and no dish has under 800 calories. Most are between 1100-1500 for ONE meal! Even the kids menu has 600+ calories per entree. Does a child really need 600 calories for one meal? Ahhhh, I hate this place! You would think that a place who does stir-fry would have ONE healthy dish or salad that isn't covered with fried chicken and won tons.
It looks like I'm having a bowl of soup for dinner. The hot and sour soup has 180 cals for a bowl so I'm ok with that. I can't remember if it has pork in it though. I'm doing well today and don't want to blow it. I've avoided cookies at work and ravaging the pantry as soon as I got home. I'll still have to avoid the brownies. And 5-lb bag of M&Ms when I get home. Seriously who needs 5-lbs of M&Ms at a time?? Why does she buy shit like that? Ugh.
Side note, does anyone know how to read blogs on the mobile blogger app? I want to read my subscribed blogs but I can't figure out how to do it on my phone?
5lbs of fucking M&Ms. That's the kinda shit my mum does. She used to buy those big display boxes of chocolate bars online, so we'd have multiple boxes of like 50 chocolate bars, and they never lasted as long as she'd hoped. WHY?! Just because they're cheap and will be eaten at some point doesn't mean you need to buy chocolate in bulk, argh.
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the Chinese place. Their menu sounds ridiculous! Maybe they just serve huge portions?
The app only supports things like posting and editing, though you can still go to the Blogger website in your phone browser to read blogs. The main page itself isn't optimized for mobiles, but most blogs are mobile friendly (as a default, though some people disable mobile viewing).

that Chinese place. ugh. dudes, Chinese is just about the one place in the world that breaks my biggest rule: DO NOT CONSUME YOUR BODY WEIGHT OF SALT IN ONE SINGLE MEAL. and they do it. all the time do they do it!
ReplyDeleteif there is one thing i still fear in the world, it's restaurants. i can't bust out my scales without someone throwing me off the restaurant for busting out my scales. the singular thing that is "safe" to order in a restaurant is sushi and even that is highly overestimated. the only food that is safe for me is fast food. because that never changes. restaurants could add a bit of better here and there, but a McDonald's burger always tastes the same.
i always order soup at restaurants when i'm not being a pig. when i am being a pig...
whenever you mention pork, i start thinking you're Jewish. i think you've denied that a few times. oops.
hold on.
2.27kg of M&M's. yes. i had to convert that because i count chocolate in grams. fuck. me. i would not eat 2.27kg of banana's in one go. fucking fuck me. how do they sell 2.27kg of M&M'S?!?! SHOULDN'T THAT BE ILLEGAL i mean come on!
i once monoed on a huge bag of M&M's. it was around 180g which is around .4lbs. that is the biggest bag of M&M's i have seen here. fuck. even if i were to only eat chocolate the whole day (and i have done it - before lacto intolerance came to place just a bit ago so it is no longer an option), i'd eat like 22% of the bbag.
seriously holy shit
yes. i just went to a full on rant about 5lbs of M&M's. le sigh.
