I have a brilliant idea to keep me on track... whenever I'm craving something I write it in a list on my phone with the calories in it. Seeing "a slice of cake" in writing with 350 calories next to it sure made the craving go away. I'm going to continue doing this for the rest of the week. Anything I've successfully avoided gets to go on the list. Maybe I'll even post the list on Saturday with total calories avoided. So far today I've avoided eating anything at dunkin donuts, that slice of cake, and some peppermints. I convinced my bf that I wasn't hungry enough for a donut. I only got a small vanilla coffee instead.
We went to Sams to grocery shop. For all my girls who aren't from America, Sams is like Costco. It's a big warehouse where you can buy things in bulk. They have a small deli with high-fat high-calorie foods, sodas, and ice cream. The lunch options are pretty limited. Because I had already skipped breakfast my bf wanted me to eat something for lunch. I got one slice of veggie pizza. The pizza slices there are bigger than your face so it's not like it was a good option. I scraped off most of the toppings and cheese. Basically I had bread with pizza sauce. I'll still think the whole slice was around 850 cals... so I'm going to say 600 without the cheese.
I only work three days this week. I'm only going to work out on the days that I don't work. It's just too difficult to exercise after a 14-hour shift. I don't feel bad though because I'm constantly standing, walking around, or lifting heavy dogs. I feels like I've had a workout when I get to go home. Being a vet is a crazy physical job! On days that I don't work I'm going to exercise like a crazy person! I've already got my food planned out for tomorrow.
This is going to be an awesome week. I just have to stay focused and determined. I'm counting on my Elizabethy to keep my ass in check! I don't know how you have so much willpower going days with only coffee and celery. You're amazing. You're an inspiration to us all :-)

Psh, I don't even workout on the days that I work! I certainly don't feel guilty, don't you either! and 14 hours??! come on dear, theres only 10 hours left of the day, got to sleep sometime, those fuzzy friends NEED you.
